The Mirrorball

This cumulation of work is a final reflection for me. As an artist, I tend to reflect on certain parts of my life, always scanning small stories I can tell in my work. Most recently, I realized that some of the most impactful stories are the ones we share unintentionally with others. The small moments when you look at someone for the first time and think, "Maybe we aren't so different after all." Because, in my opinion, artists are one of the key leaders in documenting human experience. When we look at art history, this becomes especially true.

My work hopes to link others with this same idea. Objects or memories that tie people together; to really sell this idea, a magazine is the best approach. This is primarily because magazines are seen everywhere, but you tend to notice them when you see something that you relate to or know about. For example: celebrities, cooking, TV show announcements, etc.
